The podcast is absorbing, informative, provocative…and sprinkled with sly, spicy (and sometimes a wee bit) scandalous humor!  The fast-growing podcast airs on both YouTube and Spotify.

This dynamic, rip-roaring, “laugh-yo’-azz off”–and super-sized–episode of WYATT! is an exceptional treat! Our special guest is the savvy, multi-award-winning, and celebrated mr. Pam!  This legendary and incomparable filmmaker has made a distinctive and indelible mark throughout adult entertainment, having worked for an array of major, high-end studios including NakedSword, Kink.com, Adult Time, Lucas Entertainment, COLT Studio Group, and Hot House Entertainment.

In this exclusive sit-down, the well-respected filmmaker and I discuss a broad range of issues, including her porn journey, with its twists and turns.  Effervescent, outspoken, and real, this industry icon has a magnetic aura that immediately draws you into her world—where she makes you feel right at home!  This installment of WYATT! is sooooooo much more than an interview.

Instead, it’s an animated and intimate conversation.

I kick off our chat by congratulating mr. Pam on being the 2021 GayVN Awards “Hall of Fame” honoree.  During her acceptance speech, in regard to the first scene she filmed (in 2004), she stated, “I didn’t know what the fuck I was doing, but I knew this was where I belonged.”   She does a deep dive into that statement.

Exactly how did she get the moniker, the alias of “mr. Pam”?  Well, she recounts a hilarious story that fully answers that question!

mr. Pam is gay adult entertainment’s only female videographer; therefore, I want to know what it’s like to be a major player in the so-called “boyz club.” She responds, “In the beginning…it’s funny because I literally was the only girl…some guys loved having me there, while other guys hated having me there.” Y’all, that reply is just the tip of the iceberg, because mr. Pam has much more to say on the subject.

Next, we travel through the corridors of time, where we spill the tea about mr. Pam’s beginnings, her intriguing backstory.  “I was born in Milwaukee (Wisconsin), but I was pretty much a California girl; my dad was in the wine business.  I was raised north of San Francisco, on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge.”

She laughs, “Yeah, lots of Catholic school…12 years of Catholic school, which kind of answers a lot of your questions.”  And just what are those Qs?  Come on in and find out!

What characteristics best describes mr. Pam as a kid?  A little nipper?  You LYAO  when the filmmaker makes the reveal!  But, here’s a quote that whets the appetite:  “I was always the leader…people tended to follow me, but I had a teacher in third grade who said, ‘Pamela’s a born leader, but she just happens to lead everyone in the wrong direction’!”  And discover exactly what mr. Pam means and what it entails when she admits to being a “sexual kid.”  Oh, my!

According to last year’s Avn.com article, “Wham Bam, Thank You Pam!”, written by Brady Jansen, “At her first job while in high school—waitressing at Bobby McGee’s—a new world opened up. It was a pivotal point in her life that would shape not only her social circles but her career as well.” In our exclusive sit-down, the filmmaker states, “I realized that I just love the gay guys! They’re just so much fun! I started to think, ‘Am I gay, I don’t know!’ I just love the gay guys!” Her ruminations and reflections are rather absorbing.

Fast forward to 2003 and then 2004.  Due to the sudden and unexpected loss of both her dad and sister, mr. Pam re-evaluated what she wanted in her life.  In a heartfelt manner, she describes the changes she made that better fed and nurtured her soul.

We drill down on her experience working with Tim Valenti, CEO, Naked Sword. Two of mr. Pam’s pals introduced her to their friend Sean–who was gay–who then, in turn, introduced her to Valenti. This led to her filming the popular The Tim & Roma Show, and firmly put her on her porn path. “I really love Tim. He has been like a father figure to me.”

Recently, mr. Pam started directing trans-women porn.  I ask if that’s any different than filming gay porn.  “They (trans-women) like working with me because I have such a huge gay porn background,” she begins.  “When they work with other studios, those studios try to make them act like women.  But that’s not deep down inside a lot of the sexual activities trans-women enjoy, so they come to me.”  You know dang well the director has lots more to say on this topic.

In 2020, mr. Pam established her own production company, Wham Bam Pictures.  Precisely what was the impetus behind that decision?  “I’d worked for studios forever,” she begins.  “Then there came the pandemic.  I saw a little window of like, ‘You know, lemme just start my own company’.”  She discloses everything that went into making such a bold, ballsy decision—and the reservations she initially had.

During our conversation, I mention that J. D. Daniels, founder/CEO of LUXXXE Studios, connected me with her. Regarding the “Performer of the Decade,” she states, “I’m just so proud of him…it takes balls to start your own studio.  J. D., you’ve inspired me!”

In her own inimitable way, mr. Pam gives her take on how women can make their mark in the male-dominated gay adult industry.  “I think at least for me, and I apply this to when my girlfriends ask me, ‘I’m not getting this promotion because I’m a girl’.  I could never play that card my whole career because honestly, I don’t belong in gay porn…I mean, this is for gay dudes!”  Find out what more she has to say.

And the lady is B-U-S-Y!  mr. Pam clues us in on the multitude of diverse projects on tap for the rest of 2022.
