Depression’s Peculiar Grip on Black LGBTQs
The first in a series of articles I’ve crafted for the Huffington Post has just been published! Entitled, “Depression’s Peculiar Grip on Black LGBTQs,” it explores how depression can have a disproportionate impact on, and different ramifications for Black LGBTQ individuals.
In this first installment, I explain what depression really is–and means. As well, I detail the various types of the illness, and if LGBTQ persons in general are more prone to it. And in the weeks to come, I’ll write about my experiences with depression.
You can read the article on the Huffing Post site here.
