Next, we sashay down "The Corridors of Time" to uncover this extraordinary talent's beginnings. Early on, his parents encouraged his interest in the theater. At age fifteen, he began appearing in plays. He gives us the 411 on all of that.

Our special guest is entrepreneur, media producer, and philanthropist Darius Caffey (@closetunlockd ), the founder/creator of The Closet Unlocked, a social enterprise community that helps amplify the voices and experiences of Black LGBTQ+ individuals. Caffey is also a board member and director of Institutional Partnerships for Black Alphabet, an organization committed to giving the Black LGBTQ+ community a voice through the arts and media.

And Y’all, his credits don’t stop. This dynamic and inventive creative hosts The Table On Air, the vibrant and popular talk show. Caffey is also the new CEO of Contributing Creator, a business development consulting firm.

I start the conversation with one of his quotes: “As an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and media producer, I utilize education to catalyze change in system leaders toward the betterment of under-resourced and underrepresented people.” As Caffey dissects that statement, we get an intriguing—and better read—of who he is.

We walk down The Corridors of Time to explore this multi-faceted talent’s beginnings. Later, we discuss what compelled him to create The Closet Unlocked and The Table on Air, two ventures that he’s exceedingly passionate about. What’s his muse?

And finally, Caffey reveals his ultimate goal. He states, “(It’s) to save our lives. To save the lives of Black, Queer, Trans and Non-binary people. That is my ultimate goal, because Black Trans and Non-binary people are dying at alarming rates, they’re getting bullied or getting taken advantage of.
