I’m that quintessential Renaissance Guy: Radio Personality (“WYATT!” Podcast), Author (“NCTUA”), Journalist (HuffPo, Advocate, Wyattevans.com, etc).

"Yo! I luv my ZADDY, but he's Complicated! Sometimes, it's like being all caught up in a Split Personality!"

"Well, at least he's as tasty as the richest, most luscious milk chocolate Godiva candy bar! (I'm just sayin'…)"

WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) podcast is comin' right backatcha with a brand spankin' new episode that will enlighten and electrify you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hM_7NsscqJE
Our special guest is A.J. Lovelace ( alovelacejr ), a "B & B" (Bold & Bodacious) multihyphenate: director, writer, actor, photographer, and cinematographer. Renowned publications, including Deadline and the New York Post, have reported on his impressive body of work, which has won Webby and Telly Awards.

"I'm happiest when I'm creating; it puts air in my lungs," he begins. "There have been many times when I've thought about what it would be like to travel a more traditional path, and I can't picture it. I can always envision my future where the clarity around pursuing my creative path is certain. When I begin a new project, I push myself beyond the limits of the circumstances around me to elevate my craft." He digs deeper into those insightful and introspective statements.

Soon, we travel down "The Corridors of Time" to examine Lovelace's beginnings. "The summer before I began high school, I surrendered to my need to be a storyteller through film and theater," he explains. "It was clear to me that using my endless imagination and well of emotionality to connect with others was my purpose. I later discovered my artistic ability could heal me and others who experienced it."

Finally, the multihyphenate clues us in on his projects for the remainder of 2025.

So, yo! This eppy is one mo' reason why WYATT! is "Eargasm Fo' Tha Grown Folks!"

And ain't no doubt about it.

We Deserve Protection! Anti-LGBTQ+ Violence in Gha We Deserve Protection! Anti-LGBTQ+ Violence in Ghana (A “WYATT!” Exclusive)

WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) blasts back with a moving, must-see episode. We travel to Ghana, a country in western Africa. Our guest is a young Gay/SGL (same gender loving) Ghanaian man,
a victim of a violent homophobic attack that almost left him unalive.
Same-sex relations are outlawed and illegal in more than 30 African countries—including Ghana. Young LGBTQ+ people are disowned by their families and communities and evicted from their homes. Along with being brutally assaulted, my special guest has experienced all that.

Pro-LGBTQ+ activism exists in Ghana, but such efforts are often thwarted and made illegal by the government. However, anti-LGBTQ+ groups are embraced.

Our guest dares to tell his harrowing story! In ways you haven’t before, you’ll appreciate your ability and freedom to express your authentic self.

Be sure to tune in to this unique WYATT! experience. WYATT! 226: We Deserve Protection! Anti-LGBTQ+ Violence in Ghana (A “WYATT!” Exclusive)

IT'S "SYLVIA APPRECIATION WEEK!” I recently IT'S "SYLVIA APPRECIATION WEEK!”
I recently had the pleasure of interviewing SYLVIA TRAYMORE MORRISON for my "WYATT!" podcast. Sylvia is the first African-American female impressionist in the United States.

Morrison is an entertainment multihyphenate: author, impressionist, comedian, and the first African American female associate writer for SNL (Saturday Night Live)! She has a myriad of accomplishments under her belt, which include replacing the legendary Richard Pryor in a hosting job, hosting "Roast of the Champ" for Muhammad Ali at the iconic Apollo Theater, and becoming the opening act for Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love World Tour" in over 23 cities. The powerhouse talent also joined Mo'Nique's Las Vegas residency for five shows, during which comedian George Wallace spotted her in action and invited her to do his show.

Sylvia has performed with other entertainers, including Jay Leno, David Letterman, Gladys Knight, Robin Williams, Jeffery Osbourne, Jerry Seinfeld, Chaka Khan, Rosie O'Donnell, and Dick Gregory. And to top it off, Redd Foxx was her first manager!

Enjoy these clips! More to come later in the week.

That Black Force of Nature! Essex Hemphill. The That Black Force of Nature!

Essex Hemphill. The groundbreaking, uber-talented, and openly Gay/SGL African-American poet and author—was truly a force of nature! Ahead of his time, Mr. Hemphill blazed the way for many Black Gay/SGL (same gender loving) authors. Unfortunately, he left this earth way too soon.

Today is the birthday of this sensational scrivener. And I’m proud to say that “Es” was a friend and colleague.

Michelle Elizabeth Brown: Her Activism Takes NO Pr Michelle Elizabeth Brown: Her Activism Takes NO Prisoners!!!

  WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) blasts back with a moving, must-see episode!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0FZCHYVI9I

Our special guest is Michelle Elizabeth Brown ( @collectionsbymb ), a true media multihyphenate: award-winning LGBTQ+ activist, author, business consultant, public speaker, lecturer, and performance artist! I open the show by asking her to comment on the following quote: "Throughout her career, creative endeavors, and volunteer work, MICHELLE ELIZABETH BROWN has utilized her strengths to assist, inspire, and motivate people and organizations to be the best they can be. Mixed with her desire to help others, she also finds her dedication to uplifting those often left on the fringe of society: women, people of color, the LGBTQ community." Her detailed answer is proof that Brown is a force of nature.

She shares her poignant and powerful coming-out process as we walk through the Corridors of Time to learn about the trailblazer's beginnings. Next, we discover what motivated Brown to travel the path of activism—and why it continues to burn so profoundly inside, nurturing her soul.

The "media goddess" gives us the full monty about "Collections by Michelle Brown," her national weekly internet radio program, and her books, "Wild Fruit Hidden in Open Spaces: Musings in Prose and Poetry" and "3 Layers and a Brassiere."

Finally, the groundbreaker/innovator advises how LGBTQ+ folks--particularly Blacks and POCs--can continue our activism, stay engaged, and survive and thrive.

According to Curvemag.com, "Michelle has always looked for an audience in the most unlikely places, often finding herself the only African American lesbian in a room full of Republicans while giving a lecture on the value of equal rights. Michelle brings people together and pushes them into action. Her power, she says, lies in her ability to find common ground." The activist dissects that statement for us.

(An Amazon Review) “The language, the breaking of the fourth wall, and the spelling are entertaining and funny. Mr. Evans takes readers on a gut-wrenching, romantic, and comical rollercoaster.

“Being familiar with Wyatt’s work, having some connective tissue and mentions of his past novels was nice. I am proud and in admiration of Mr. Evans! I want to dive into the previous novel and continue the “Nothing Can Tear Us Apart” universe.

“As you put that “RAGE!” on paper, you will have your fans in a “FRENZY!,” and your dreams will do everything but SHATTER. My friend, Mr. Evans has outdone himself! “Nothing Can Tear Us Apart—SHATTERED!” is a must-read.”

The Original Madonna Double Strikes a Pose! The Original Madonna Double Strikes a Pose!

WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) shines a “Ray of Light” with Denise Bella Vlasis, The Original Madonna Double ( @Madonnadouble )! This entertainment multihyphenate is bold and bodacious! She's a performer, entrepreneur, and author. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3jErqr3zLg
In our exclusive sit-down, this effervescent talent shares her intriguing story. Her acting career began with many appearances in music videos and television bit parts. Still, her career took an unexpected turn when her then-acting agent started to notice and compare Ms. Vlasis's features to Madonna.

Subsequently, Bella worked nonstop as a Hollywood double for the "Material Girl" in print advertisements, television featured roles, movies, documentaries, voice-overs, body doubles, and body parts models—and in her own live legends-style tribute show on stage. And to top it off, Bella is the only Madonna lookalike chosen by "Madam M" herself!

While auditioning as a dancer for the "Who's That Girl" tour, the entertainment multihyphenate described what it was like meeting Madonna for the first time. I ask Bella, "If there were just three words to describe the pop legend, what would they be?" Well, those three words "hit the nail on the head."

"During my 28 years as Madonna's Hollywood double," according to Bella, "I felt so lucky to have experienced everything I could only have dreamed of as an actress." We dissect that heartfelt statement.

WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) blasts back with Marcus Head ( @mheadfilmmaker ), CEO and owner of Mheadfilms. This savvy talent is an innovative and ingenious comedian, filmmaker, and director.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VH0e8kkJMA
The entertainment multihyphenate started in the biz as a stand-up comedian in Atlanta. He discovered his passion for film production by traveling the world performing in stadiums and large venues.

As Head walks through the "Corridors of Time" during our exclusive sit-down, he chats about attending a school as a kid where he and his brother were the only Black students. He explains how that experience molded him and prepared him for adulthood.

We move on to his college years in Illinois, which Head reveals were colorful—with quite the twists and turns! In 1991, he relocated to Atlanta, where he became immersed in all-Black culture and got his feet wet in the comedy scene. What compelled him to try his hand at stand-up, and what was his first time on stage like? Well, we find out!

Next, we get the 411 on Head's movie, "Can't Get Rite," which currently airs on TUBI. According to the multifaceted talent, completing it was challenging, particularly regarding funding. He breaks it all down for us.

Lastly, the filmmaker spills the tea on his "really big thang"--he's wrapping up "The Reynaldo Rey Story – The Unforgettable Legend!" It's a three-part documentary on comedy icon Reynaldo Rey, featuring interviews from comedic luminaries, including Katt Williams, Sinbad, Tommy Davison, Luenell, and Marla Gibbs, who narrates.

Jeffrey James Keyes: A “Killa” Talent, A Super Jeffrey James Keyes: A “Killa” Talent, A Superlative Scribe!

WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) shines the spotlight on Jeffrey James Keyes ( @jjkeyes ), a premier and uber-talented playwright, screenwriter, and travel writer. And get this: Keyes co-authored the New York Times best-selling novel “Killer Chef” with James Patterson, the iconic mystery and thriller scribe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwObBb03rQ0
Keyes has multiple theatre credits, including The End of Days, Southies, The Biltmore Academy, Imaginary Friends, and Room 407. His short films 181 and Uniform were featured at over 30 film festivals.

And there’s more. Keyes’ monologue, Safe Word (The 24-Hour Plays), was nominated for “Best Digital Entertainment” at The Queerties. His ghost story plays are currently being adapted into DRAMA - an aural experience (drama-pod.com), an audio fiction podcast through AKS Immersive. And to boot, he pens a monthly travel column titled "On the Go" on GayCities.

The prolific talent reveals what put him on a writer’s path early on. He also describes his creative process—and the one aspect about it that we would be surprised to know.

We then delve into Keyes’ collaboration with best-selling author James Patterson and how he was selected to co-author Killer Chef. I ask, “What was the most important thing you learned from Patterson?” His answer is worth waiting for!

Next, we view and discuss Safe Word, Keyes’ fascinating, absorbing—and delicious—monologue. You will find that Safe Word is bawdy, cheeky, and cleverly crafted, with cute dashes of humor splashed throughout. Actor Alex Hernandez sells it perfectly.

Before we adjourn, the entertainment multihyphenate explains how he’s adjusting and rethinking his current writing projects given the turmoil and political chaos the world is experiencing. His response is thoughtful and impactful.

So, prepare for another utterly dee-light-ful edition of WYATT!
