WRITTEN FOR

I’m that quintessential Renaissance Guy: Radio Personality (“WYATT!” Podcast), Author (“NCTUA”), Journalist (HuffPo, Advocate, Wyattevans.com, etc).

It's "PRRT,” Y'all! (Provocative, Raw & Real Talk! It's "PRRT,” Y'all! (Provocative, Raw & Real Talk!)

The WYATT! Podcast dives deep into timely and critical issues impacting Gay/SGL (Same-Gender-Loving) men with a diverse set of LGBTQ movers, shakers, and change agents. It’s absorbing, informative, provocative, and sprinkled with sly, spicy (and sometimes a wee bit) scandalous humor!

WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) presents a special panel to kick off the New Year in high gear and style! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7E5qnjFbvMs

Our guests are Robert A. Karl ( @robertkarl_inpr ): LGBTQ+ rights activist, entrepreneur ("Club Pride" online store) and author ("Clubbed" series, "Drag Wars,” "The Goldies," and "Immortal, The House of Ganymede"), and L.J. Ugarte ( @lj.ugarte ): actor, producer, and founder/CEO of Firecreek Entertainment.

Along with providing predictions for 2026, these accomplished and popular creatives give real, raw, and oh-so-entertaining answers to topical, provocative, and naughty questions! Then we chat about our upcoming projects and events for 2026, including exciting news on several fronts about "Nothing Can Tear Us Apart," my series of novels.

Y'all, this edition of WYATT! is high-octane and hilarious!

This is another reason that WYATT! is "Eargasm Fo' Tha Grown Folks!"

Omary Baajun: Trans Warrior Reveals Why She Fights Omary Baajun: Trans Warrior Reveals Why She Fights the Good Fight!

WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) kicks off the New Year by shining a bright light on excellence and resilience! I have an exclusive sit-down

with Omary Baajun, ( @baajun_poet ), the award-winning trans woman poet, storyteller, and human rights defender from Tanzania. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx7kpQT6G2s

According to Baajun, “I turn art and storytelling into advocacy, carving spaces where the invisible are seen, and the unheard are amplified,” which is the starting point of our interview. The creative accomplished just that with their most recent poetry collection titled Olives, Watermelon & Kufiyyeh. We delve into the volume, which is receiving rave reviews.

We move on to We’re Not Criminals, Baajun’s trilogy of poetry short films that boldly call for dignity, visibility, and equal rights for those pushed to the margins. We’re Not Criminals won “Best Short Film Series” at the 2025 Our Pride Short Film Festival. Rainbow Advocacy, a LGBTQ+ civil rights, social action, and advocacy nonprofit organization, produced the film fest. And finally, this warrior provides the full monty about how they are continuing to fight the good fight to protect and preserve LGBTQ+ rights.

Compelling and riveting are the words that describe this edition of WYATT! This is another reason that WYATT! is "Eargasm Fo' Tha Grown Folks!"

Author Clarence A. Haynes Reveals Why We Should Al Author Clarence A. Haynes Reveals Why We Should All Be SCURRED!!!

WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) shines the spotlight on Clarence A. Haynes ( @clarenceahaynes ), author of the new urban fantasy glam-horror novel titled, "The Ghosts of Gwendolyn Montgomery!" In this sexy, page-turning debut, a high-powered publicist receives a threatening message and must confront her secret mystical past as ghosts prepare to invade our world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l7wpKlNJBc

We kick things off by discussing what compelled Haynes to choose sci-fi and fantasy as the genres for his new work. And he provides a rather delicious explanation of what an urban fantasy glam-horror novel is!

"The Ghosts of Gwendolyn Montgomery" is already garnering solid reviews. Here's one: "What a fantastic read! By the first page, I was completely hooked, and while I tried to savor each page and detail within the story, I ended up devouring it. I loved the representation, the journey through navigating spirituality along with grief, guilt, identity, and self-discovery." I ask the novelist about the positive feedback he's receiving.

Haynes also chats about being coauthor of actor/producer Omar Epps's acclaimed Young Adult Afrofuturist sci-fi/fantasy series "Nubia: The Awakening" and "The Reckoning." He reveals how the collaboration with Epps came about — and the most important thing he learned from it. Next, we talk about the impact of his middle-grade nonfiction work, "The Legacy of Jim Crow," which examines the history of discriminatory laws in America. Finally, Haynes lists the essential takeaways from "The Ghosts of Gwendolyn Montgomery."

Get ready for a "scurry" and spine-tingling eppy of WYATT!--with a heapin' helpin' of heebie-jeebies thrown in for good measure!

Author James Earl Hardy Turns (B-Boy) Blues Into P Author James Earl Hardy Turns (B-Boy) Blues Into Pure Joy!

WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) roars back with a special, scintillating eppy! Special guest is James Earl Hardy ( @james.e.hardy.9 ), the acclaimed author of the iconic "B-Boy Blues." The series of novels was launched in 1994 with "B-Boy Blues," which has been praised as the first gay hip-hop love story. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brJovgE_8sk

We start our conversation with Hardy, who explains how the "B-Boy" universe came to be. He states, "You were expected to walk through one door—Black or gay—and the novel unapologetically embraced and celebrated both. For them, as well as the rest of society, 'gay' was a white thing while 'Black' was specifically seen through a prism of heterosexuality. 'B-Boy' was too gay for some heteros, too Black for some whites—as well as the wrong kind of gay for certain white gay folk and the wrong kind of Black for certain Black hetero folk."

He adds, "The question was always, 'Who is going to read a Black-on-Black gay love story?' The answer, it turns out, was everybody. I knew something special, transcendent was happening when I'd travel to Brooklyn, and there were sistas reading 'B-Boy' on the A train. Many folks who aren't Black and/or gay and/or male have told me that they got 50, 60 pages into the novel and totally forgot it was about two men."

Next, we discuss "B-Boy Blues'" award-winning theatrical production and

long-awaited film adaptation. I ask how pleased he was with its screen adaptation and whether anything was sacrificed in the translation. Hardy's answer is both enlightening and nuanced.

The Revelations of a Golden Boi!! WYATT! ( #Wya The Revelations of a Golden Boi!!

WYATT! ( #Wyattonair ) returns with an invigorating and intriguing episode! Our special guest is Brandon C. Smith ( @ goldenboiproductions ), a NYC–based actor, musician, filmmaker, and creative producer whose work lives at the intersection of art and social justice.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfl2HR6zfK0

We jump-start our conversation with a quote from a recent Prideindex.com interview: "Deeply committed to amplifying marginalized voices, Brandon drives storytelling that sparks transformative conversations and fosters community engagement." He elaborates.

Next, the multihyphenate discusses two significant milestones: Golden Boi Productions and the Queer Voices NYC Film Festival. In 2018, Smith founded the former, a queer and Black-owned company dedicated to elevating BIPOC and LGBTQ+ narratives through film, media, and public programming. Golden Boi has released the poignant short film, "Bill and Robert," that focuses on the love story of two Black males who meet in 1967, just five years after homosexuality was decriminalized in the United States. The filmmaker gives us the full monty about the film, which has streamed on Amazon Prime and Here TV, as well as the mission and evolution of Golden Boi Productions.

Smith is the executive director and co-founder of the Queer Voices NYC Film Festival. This non-profit empowers LGBTQIA+ filmmakers of color by showcasing their work, celebrating their stories, and providing professional development opportunities. After discussing the film festival's impact, he breaks down "Before They Tell Our Stories," a docuseries in partnership with the CUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium.

We conclude with an enlightening chat about Black/POC LGBTQ+ representation in film and TV, and how the recent, deep job cuts across the media landscape will impact the presentation of these essential stories.
